The island of Hvar is the longest island in Croatia and therefore abounds with many beautiful wild coves and hidden beaches. On the southern side of the island of Hvar, we have the opportunity to see beautiful Dalmatian towns that still retain their original historical appearance and traditions. Some of these cities are Jelsa, Stari Grad, the city of Hvar and Sućuraj. In addition to beautiful cities, we also have many natural wild bays that are ideal for swimming, diving, and other water activities. The trip usually consists of visiting one or more cities and swimming in wild coves. You will also have the opportunity to see the beautiful coast of the island of Hvar through a panoramic drive.
Itinerary
9:00 Start from Podgora
At 9:00 we meet up and slowly start preparing for the trip. The trip starts with the panoramic ride of the local coast where we can see all the beauty of Makarska Riviera towns and popular local beaches.
10:00 Arrival to the Zećevo bay on island Hvar
At 10:00 we arrive at the first wild bay which is located just near the towns of Jelsa and Vrboska. Zećevo Bay is located on a small island called Zećevo, which is just next to the island of Hvar. After a half-hour swim, we slowly start going to the town of Vrboska on island Hvar.
10:40 Arrival to Vrboska town
At 10:40 we arrive in town Vrboska. Vrboska is a gorgeous historical town that is also called little Venice because of its specific bay which goes all the way into the island of Hvar. There are few bridges which connect two sides of the town. After one hour in Vrboska, we start going to the next bay.
12:00 Arrival to the Mala Stiniva bay
After 15 minutes we arrive at the Mala Stiniva bay which is one of the most beautiful bays on island Hvar. We stop for a swim in the bay, and after half an hour we start going to the restaurant.
13:00 Arrival to the restaurant
After halve hour’s panorama of island Hvar we stop at the Pakomina restaurant. Restaurant Pakomina is famous for its delicious fresh fish, which they mostly buy from lucky local fishermen. We stay for lunch approximately two and a half hours, and during that time we also have access to the beach which is situated in front of the restaurant.
16:00 Arrival to the mainland
After the restaurant, we have another stop at the mainland. We stop in yet another beautiful natural bay where we have approx. halve hour of free time. After the swim, we slowly start heading back towards Podgora.
